We are a small boutique loss adjusting company based in Auckland. Since commencing business in April 2011, we have drawn on our solid history in insurance and investigation industries to provide a reputable, trusted service for insured clients, brokers, claims staff, repairers, and external partners.

Meet the team

Andy Downer
Auckland
Andy has 20 years of insurance experience across claims handling, investigation, training, and loss adjusting. He completed many ANZIIF Loss Adjusting papers with Distinction, winning Highest Module for LA Liability in 2012. Prior to insurance, Andy served as a Police Officer in the UK, including the Specialist Investigation Department, giving him strong investigative skills with professionalism and empathy.

Paul Blow
Auckland
Paul Blow has been a Loss Adjuster for 15 years. He previously worked in banking as Westpac’s Auckland Equipment Finance Manager. Using his prior building experience, Paul was part of a building reinstatement company completing insurance work from 2009 to 2011. Since then, he has worked full-time at Downer Loss Adjusting.

Stuart Brown
Northland
Stuart has over 3 years of experience as a Loss Adjuster, based in Northland. His background is in Business Finance, having worked for AGC Finance, F&P Finance, GE Capital, Macquarie NZ (including Director), and Heartland Bank.

Rob Downer
Christchurch
Rob is based in Christchurch and comes with a strong investigative background having worked for the NZ Police as a Police Constable. Rob also has a strong building background having started work in the building trade since leaving school.

Ezra Blow
Auckland
Ezra is based in Auckland and has been involved in insurance reinstatement work for many years. Having worked as an estimator for a couple of reinstatement companies Ezra’s strength lies with domestic and commercial building claims.
